Dear Heavenly Father, who declares Your glory and shows forth Your creation in the heavens and in the earth, deliver me, I pray, in whatever work my hand may find today. Assist me, that I may do the work which you have given me to do, in truth, in beauty, and in righteousness, with singleness of heart as your servant, and to the benefit of my fellow men; for the sake of him who came among us, humbling himself to serve all who came to him and received him.
If and when we feel homeless, remind us that You are our home. May we share this sense of belonging with those we meet. Thanks for preparing a place for us.
Let the blessing of the Lord rest and remain upon all his people, in every land, of every tongue. Let the Lord meet in mercy all that seek him and comfort all who suffer and mourn. And, let the Lord hasten his coming, and give us, his people, the blessing of peace.
Dear Lord, into Your hands and into the hands of Your holy angels. This day I entrust my soul, my relatives, my benefactors, my friends and enemies, and all who confess Your holy name. Make me always dead to sin and alive to God.
Enlighten my heart with the grace of Your Holy Spirit. Grant that I may ever be obedient to Your commandments. Let me never be separated from You.
Oh God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore, let the whole earth also worship You, all nations obey You, all tongues confess and bless You, and men and women everywhere love you and serve You in peace. Like the seed buried in the ground, You have produced the harvest of eternal life for me. This is all we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, we pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, You are my food and my strength; sweet Holy Spirit, the light and guide of my soul. I thank you for this new day and pray that you will watch over me. May my thoughts, my words and actions reflect the Spirit that dwells within me.
May every minute of my life celebrate the gift of grace, earned by the blood of Christ. You hung upon a cross and died for me so that I might live for You. Your body was broken and Your blood shed so that I might be healed and made whole.
You were faithful unto death so that I might be faithful unto life. Your last command was that we might love one another, one family together from every tribe and nation; a new creation united through Your sacrifice, redeemed by Your blood, healed by Your love, united by Your covenant of peace. Grant that, in Your death I may find life, and in Your suffering I may find peace, today and forever.
Dear Lord, who has created all things, seen and unseen, this day is Your creation and I give thanks to live in it. I pray that I will not shut You out of the day you have made, blinded by the petty concerns of life, but that I may be always open to Your presence. I open my body to You and give thanks for Your life that fills and warms every cell of it.
We need Your touch on our lives. Work in our hearts in whatever areas need a fresh start. Help us to do our part and to trust You to do what only You can do.
Make me and all who confess Your holy name people of this light. Make me faithful to Your Word that I may bring Your life to the waiting world. Grant this through Christ our Lord.
Dear God, I bless You for the day You have made. I pray that I may spend this day rejoicing in Your creation. I pray for your Holy Spirit to fill me with the joy of my salvation, so that Your light may shine through me into the world, that Your honor and glory may be known to all people.
Remind me of your blessings with every tribulation I may face, so that I may act with energy, forgiveness and love, ever mindful of the grace You have shown to me. Help me to perform the work which you have put at my hand. Deliver me, I pray, in my work, from coveting material goods, from falling into the temptation of serving mammon and putting money in the forefront of my life.
May I go in peace, with God and with his other children. And, may we love one another as Christ taught us. May I follow the example of good men of old, and may God comfort and help me and all who believe in Him, both in this world and in the world which is to come.
Dear God, I come before You today in reverence and awe. I am filled with humility in the face of Your greatness, Your majesty, Your holiness, and Your power. And to acknowledge my sinfulness in the face of Your pure and holy presence fills me with fear.
Yet I pray boldly, for You have called me and adopted me as Your rightful heir, through the sacrifice of your Son, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I give You thanks for Your mercy with every ounce of my being. I pray that your Holy Spirit might be with me, that I might do your will in every thought and action this day; and that the work of my hands and the words of my tongue might seek Your glory, and not my own.
And I promise, with Your help and grace, to be fearless in the world; for if You are with me, who can be against me? Let me not hesitate to call upon You, for Your power and love will see me through anything this world can bring against me. All thanks and praise be to You, almighty God.
Dear Lord, You have brought me to the beginning of a new day. As the world is renewed fresh and clean, so I ask You to renew my heart with Your strength and purpose. Forgive me the errors of yesterday and bless me to walk closer in Your way today.
This is the day I begin my life anew. Shine through me so that every person I meet may feel Your presence in my soul. Take my hand, precious Lord, for I cannot make it by myself.
Your steadfast love endures forever. Open our hearts to the Blessed One who comes so humbly, on a borrowed colt. Open before us the gates of Your justice, that we may enter, confessing in heaven and on earth that Jesus is Lord.
Dear God, You have given me another day. Bring Your Holy Spirit into my mind and my life, so that I may walk this day in Your presence. Let me feel Your presence throughout the day, remembering always that You sent Your Spirit that you might be a living force in all I see and all I do.
Give me the grace to realize my ignorance, admit my mistakes, recognize my needs. Let me welcome good advice and sound rebuke, without defensiveness. Grant me always to praise rather than criticize, sympathize rather than discourage, build rather than destroy, and when I am angry at the ignorance of another, to recall my own ignorance and remember that we are all Your beloved children.
When I feel temptation or begin to stray, show me Your path. Correct me, comfort me, let me live Your will; that I may be happy in this life and blessed in the life to come. This I pray in the name of Christ, my Lord.
Dear Lord, I pray in the name of Christ that you will this day increase my faith in the sweet promises of the Gospel. Give me repentance from dead works. Pardon my wanderings, & direct my thoughts unto thyself, the God of my salvation.
Make me always watchful over my heart, that neither the terrors of conscience, the loathing of holy duties, the love of sin, nor an unwillingness to depart this life, may cast me into a spiritual slumber. But daily frame me more and more into the likeness of thy son Jesus Christ, that living in thy fear, and dying in thy favor, I may in thy appointed time attain the resurrection of the just unto eternal life.
Please give me discernment and courage in my relationships. Help me by Your power to be gentle and show the same love to others that You have shown to me. Teach me how to live in thy fear, labor in thy service, and ever to run in the ways of thy commandments.
Father, You are the craftsman who carved me, You are the one who knows what shape my life should take. Thank You for molding me into the image that You have planned. Help me to trust that the pieces and parts that You formed from me are the right ones.
Help me to go about the tasks and duties of this day and the week to come with the remembrance that I am your servant. Make me an honest, painstaking, and cheerful person. Let that all I do and say may bring good to others and glory to your Holy Name.
Support me all the day long of this life, until the evening comes, the busy world is silenced, the fever of life is over and my work is done. Grant me a safe lodging, and a holy rest and a peace. This is all we ask in Your most precious name.
Dear Lord, give me a thankful sense of the Blessings in which I live, of the many comforts of my lot; that I may not deserve to lose them by Discontent or Indifference. Be gracious to my Necessities, and guard me, and all I love, from Evil this day. May the sick and afflicted, be now, and ever thy care; and heartily do I pray for the safety of all that travel by Land or by Sea, for the comfort & protection of the Orphan and Widow and that thy pity may be shewn upon all Captives and Prisoners.
Above all other blessings Oh! God, for myself, and my fellow-creatures, I implore Thee to quicken our sense of thy Mercy in the redemption of the World, of the Value of that Holy Religion in which we have been brought up, that we may not, by our own neglect, throw away the salvation thou hast given us, nor be Christians only in name. Hear me Almighty God, for His sake who has redeemed me, and taught me thus to pray.
May the God the Father bless us. May Christ take care of us, the Holy Ghost enlighten us all the days of our life. The Lord be our defender and keeper of body and soul, both now and for ever, to the ages of ages.
Dear Lord, give me a strong desire to look into Your Word each day. Help me hide it in my heart so that I might not stray from Your truth. Feed me and teach me about Yourself and Your will for me. I have tried in vain to reform myself, and I have failed. Only you can truly change my heart; and I pray that you will do it, by the power of your Holy Spirit.
Make me your instrument, Holy God. Replace every prideful thought with a psalm, every angry instinct with a prayer of love and forgiveness. Let the sight of me radiate your glory, not mine; let every word that comes from my mouth be music from your harp and every thought in my mind the dove of your Spirit. Inhabit me, infuse me, reform me, that I may live only in Christ, and He in me.
Now, oh heavenly Father, I ask to be called as a witness to your love by the love I extend to others; a precursor of your justice by my unfailing commitment to what is right and good; a lamp set on a hill, reflecting the light of Christ in my forgiveness, mercy and compassion; and a harvester of souls through my humble and dedicated servanthood. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Dear God, You know my weakness and failings, and that without Your help I can accomplish nothing for the good of souls, my own and others’. Grant me, therefore, the help of Your grace, according to my particular needs this day. Dear Lord, I offer to Your divine majesty my unfeigned praise and thanksgiving for all Your mercies towards me. You made me at first and have ever since sustained the work of your own hand. You gave Your Son to die for me and have given me assurance of salvation, upon my repentance and sincerely endeavoring to conform my life to his holy precepts and example.
Do not allow me to be drawn away from You, by the blandishments of the world, carnal desires, the cunning of the devil, or deceitfulness of sin. Work in me Your good will and pleasure. Discharge my mind from all things that are displeasing to You, of all ill will and discontent, wrath and bitterness, pride and vain conceit of myself, and make me charitable, pure, holy, patient and heavenly minded.

You gave everything You had for my sake. Help me to give with a willing heart so that my gifts will truly honor You. And I pray that I may be rooted and grounded in love, that I may have strength to comprehend with all the saints the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of Christ Jesus, the love that surpasses knowledge, and be filled with the fullness that only you can give.
May the God of peace, who declared victory over death by the resurrection of His only Son, Jesus Christ, make me perfect in every thought and act through His grace, that my life might be pleasing in His sight and that I might share the perfect peace that is only possible through Him, to whom be glory for ever and ever.
Dear God, enlighten my heart with the grace of your Holy Spirit. Grant that I may ever be obedient to your commandments. Let me never be separated from you, O God, who lives and reigns forever.
Direct our way unto you. Make us to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. To the end, we may establish our hearts unblameable in holiness before you, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
Look kindly upon me and receive my heartfelt gratitude for all that you have done for me and for those I love. Please grant us continued grace and blessings during the coming day. This I ask in the name of Jesus Christ, your only son, who has saved me from death.
Dear Heavenly Father, I truly believe that you will keep me filled with all goodness as long as I am giving to others. Do not let me become blocked off from You, mighty Lord, by selfishness. Keep me like a crystal brook, flowing always, less I become stagnant and fetid.
Make me an empty vessel for your Spirit to fill. Purge me of the world, of pride and lust and greed and foolish wanderings of mind, that I may be prepared to hear your truth. Let me pour myself out continuously all the day long, so that you might refill me with your Spirit.
Let me look to my outflow and trust to you for my inflow, today and always. Seek me out, and bring me home to your fold again. Deal favourably with me according to your good pleasure, until I may dwell in your house all the days of my life, and praise you forever and ever with them that are there.
